Wed 12th Aug @ 11:56

I'm really excited to be joining the Higher Education and Research Team at Sage Gateshead and to be lecturing on the prestigious BMus course as part of a fantastic team. The Sage is an amazing place for young musicians to come and study, complete with world class facilities and resources.

In this role I'm looking forward to guiding the next generation of professional musicians to become part of a dynamic local music scene with the necessary skills to be successful world-wide!

Not Like Me Reviewed!

Mon 11th Nov @ 16:27

Paul's solo album 'Not Like Me' has attracted some glowing reviews so far. Here's a selection of quotes...

"Much of the original music is highly lyrical, often beautiful, and sees the pianist embracing both his jazz and classical roots. His interpretations of outside material display wit and invention." Ian Mann, The JazzMann

"an absorbing listen grounded in the modern mainstream piano tradition (Ahmad Jamal, Oscar Peterson) with an ear as well for the mid-Romantic era classical composers as well" Stephen Graham, Marlbank

"a journey of melancholia, dissonance, humour and romanticism, and what more could you expect from one man and his piano?" John Toolan, Jazz Goes to Leeds
